Summer Interns Living & Learning Program
This program has been a joint effort, initiated by a proposal presented to Columbia College's administration by the Columbia College Student Council. The University's Department of Housing and Dining has made a significant investment in order to offer discounted housing for students in this program. CCE leads program development and oversee the application and selection process.
All students accepted into the Summer Interns Living and Learning Program will live together in one location for the summer of 2008. Thanks to the generosity and support of the Department of Housing and Dining summer housing will be discounted from the regular rate for students selected for the Summer Interns Living and Learning Program. The housing cost for the period (May 26, 2008-August 9, 2008) is $2,000 for single rooms. There are two available double rooms for $1,000 - the roomates are paired together by CCE staff. All housing policies that the Department of Housing and Dining normally have in place will remain in effect for this program.
If you have already applied for Summer Housing through University Housing and Dining, you are still eligible to apply for the Summer Interns Living and Learning Program. Also, if you were in the Summer Interns Living and Learning Program last year and are eligible to participate again this year, you are welcome to apply. Please note that once you are accepted into the program, you will no longer be part of the Summer Housing lottery. In addition, if you choose to leave the Summer Interns Living and Learning Program at any point during the program, you will be charged a prorated fee for your room.
